Download the OS file from the Elektron website to your computer.
Unzip the downloaded file to extract the .swu OS file.
Connect Tonverk to a computer using a USB cable attached to Tonverk’s USB 1 connector.
On the device, navigate to SETTINGS > USB DISK MODE, and then press [YES].
On the popup window, press [YES], but be aware that device playback will stop.
Tonverk’s SD card should now show up in your computer as a USB device. Click the Tonverk USB device on your computer to access the contents of the SD card.
Copy the downloaded and extracted .swu OS file to Tonverk’s SD card and place the file at the root of the SD card’s file structure (not inside any folder).
Safely eject the Tonverk USB device from the computer. Please refer to your computer’s documentation on how to perform this procedure.
On your device. Press [NO] to exit USB disk mode.
Navigate to SETTINGS > SYSTEM > OS UPGRADE, and then press [YES]. Tonverk will search through the SD card root for the new OS file. Once the new OS file is detected, press [YES] to start the upgrade process. Tonverk will reboot once the upgrade is finished. Do not turn the power off during the upgrade. Press [NO] if you wish to abort the upgrade and return to the SETTINGS menu.
Note: You can also use a smartphone or tablet to upload a new OS file to Tonverk’s SD card.
Note: Downgrading the device OS is not supported, and is performed at your own risk. User content may be lost.
Should you experience any problems or find any bugs, please report this to Elektron Support: http://www.elektron.se/support

The Elektron development team
Reduced audio/MIDI latency.
DIN MIDI input and output had timing problems (jitter).
There could be timing issues when using DIN MIDI for auto-sampling.
PERFORM mode could, under some circumstances, unexpectedly activate after boot.
Track selection sometimes unintentionally interacted with GRID RECORDING mode.
File names could incorrectly exceed the 256-character limit.
Page randomization now excludes dry/wet (MIX) parameters.
The device diagnostics files are now generated in a different format and are saved inside the DIAGNOSTICS folder on the SD card.
The Supervoid Reverb’s MIX parameter is moved to encoder H on Bus tracks to align with the parameter placement on the other track types.
Updated the signal flow diagram in the TRACK SETUP MOD page to show that Mod Env can modulate LFO 2.
Improved UI visibility by avoiding layering menus on top of one another.
Improved timing for multiple simultaneous keypresses to align with the rest of the Elektron product line.
Added a pop-up warning for when renaming or deleting a file used in the current project.
General performance improvements.
The MIDI Auto Channel setting was not saved in the project.
The device could freeze when using the Transform action PLACEMENT: REVERSE.
The device could freeze when attempting to play a multi-sampled instrument with more than 32 velocity layers.
The PHASE 98 FX machine’s FDBK parameter could, via modulation, be pushed outside its range to produce too loud sounds.
Multi Player and Subtracks instruments could be lost after copying and pasting patterns.
Some characters were not displayed correctly in the NAMING MENU.
The AHD envelope graphics were not displayed correctly.
It was erroneously possible to load presets in PERFORM mode.
The PITCH BEND DEPTH parameter was scaled incorrectly.
Navigating backward in the Sample browser highlighted the next entry in the list.
The currently selected bank in the pattern selection view sometimes did not show the bank that contained the active pattern.
Copying and pasting trigs from one subtrack to another could sometimes misplace the previously placed parameter locks.
Copying and pasting text in the naming window sometimes did not work as expected.
The FX SETUP menu page did not close when pressing [FUNC] + [FX].
THE MIDI machine could, under some circumstances, display an empty parameter page when first selected.
MIDI CC mappings for Bus, Send, and Mix tracks did not work.
TRACK LEVEL and TRACK ROUTING MIDI CC mappings did not work.
Parameter locks were sometimes displayed when selecting a track.
When pressing [FUNC] + [SAMPLING] and then releasing [FUNC] before [SAMPLING], the Recorder would open instead of the Sample browser.
When removing a parameter lock for a specific parameter it could only be performed with a fast DATA ENTRY knob press.
FX LFO depth did not have the correct range.
Clearing locks on a sequencer step did not clear micro-timing settings.
Pasting copied trigs sometimes lost the pasted data.
Correcting a typo in the “PERFORM MODE DEACTIVATED” message.
MIDI All Sound Off and All Notes Off messages were blocked by the Receive CC setting.
Pasting a copied track sequence discarded all sequencer events after the track’s current length.
Subtrack presets saved without a full kit of samples could not be loaded.
Page copy/paste/clear actions erronously also advanced the active page.
The PROB parameter on the TRIG PARAMETERS page was not cleared when performing a pattern clear operation.
It was possible to toggle PERFORM mode while the RESUMING PROJECT pop-up was open.
Modulation on the Voice LFO 2’s MULT parameter using the Modulation envelope was incorrectly scaled.
Selecting IN L or IN R as the sidechain source on a compressor that was placed on the Mix track did not work.
It was possible to erroneously add a sample to slot A000 after changing samples on a subtrack.
An incorrect toast message was displayed on screen when opening a MIDI SRC machine’s parameter pages.
