No. We are all out of them.

If you have ever used a Commodore 64 home computer you are most likely aware of the catchy music featured in games like Last Ninja, Monty on the Run or Arkanoid. Not only were the melodies great, but the sound was also something else. Grainy, lively and full. This was all thanks to the little MOS6581 sound chip. When Elektron started out as a company we figured it would be nice to offer a synthesizer based on this chip. So we did. And the rest is history.
The architecture of the Sidstation was quite simple, but the three oscillators, three envelopes, four LFO’s and the dirty analogue filter were capable of extraordinary results.
The Sidstation is now sold out and discontinued due to the fact that 6581 chips were getting harder and harder to find. But the spirit of the Sidstation lives on inside the Monomachine, which features a faithful emulation of those classic SID oscillators.
Gone, but not forgotten!

No. We only made a matching number of casings and PCBs for the amount of SID-chips we had left.
Where can I get hold of the Sidstation manual?
The Sidstation manual can be downloaded in the Sidstation Downloads section.
I have a problem with my Sidstation. What should I do?
Please contact Elektron Support. The support form is found in your Customer Zone account. If you don't yet have an account you can register one here.
