Monomachine

Master volume pot

The Master volume potentiometer sets the level of the Main outputs and the Headphone output.

Track buttons

Each of these six buttons represents a track. Select the active track by pressing the corresponding track button.

Function button

The Function button, in combination with other buttons, accesses secondary functions and menus. These functions and menus are written on the panel in white text within a brown rectangle.

Bank buttons

The Bank buttons are used for selecting patterns. Here is also where the Mute, Arpeggiator, Transpose, Swing and Slide menus are located.

Trig buttons

The 16 Trig buttons are mainly used for sequencing. When not in recording mode they function as a mini-keyboard.

Scale setup button

The Scale setup button is used for setting the length and time signature of a pattern.

Kit/Global button

The Kit button accesses the menu where a kits and songs are handled. Here is also where the Global settings are found.

Pattern/Song button

Press the Pattern/Song button to shift between Pattern and Song modes. The secondary function gives access to a six voice polyphony mode.

Start/Stop/Play buttons

These are the transport controls. Record, stop and play/pause. Secondary functions are copy, clear and paste.

Arrow + Yes/No buttons

Use the arrow buttons to navigate in menus. Confirm selections with the Yes button and exit menus with the No button.

Tempo button

Press the Tempo button to access the menu where the BPM is set. The Tempo LED flashes in sync with the chosen BPM. The Monomachine can be locked to an external tempo as well.

Trig select button

This button accesses a special sequencer mode where trigs for the amp envelope, the filter and the LFOs can be placed out independently of each other. The secondary function accesses the dedicated MIDI sequencer.

Level encoder

The endless rotary Level encoder is used for setting the volume of the tracks.

Data entry encoders

These endless rotary encoders are used for adjusting parameter values.

Data page buttons

These buttons flicks between the seven parameter pages each track contains.

LCD screen

A lot of handy information is displayed in the crystal clear white LCD.

Headphone output

The Headphone output is a stereo jack mirror of the Main outputs.

Main outputs

All tracks are by default routed to the Main outputs. This can be changed, as all tracks are freely routable to any of the outputs.

Individual outputs

Tracks can be routed to any of the four Individual outputs.

Inputs

Affect external stereo or mono signals with the Monomachine effects and filters by using the Inputs.

MIDI IN/OUT/THRU ports

The MIDI ports lets the Monomachine speak to other devices. They are also used when uploading user waveforms.

DC in

To start making sounds and patterns, connect the Monomachine power supply to the DC in.

Power switch

Use this switch to turn the Monomachine on or off.

Synthesis

SuperWave is inspired by the analogue world. With a smooth and full sound, these machines are ideal for creating all those well known synth sounds.

SID is a faithful emulation of the MOS6581 chip, originally found in the Commodore 64. The SID tones can be strong and dirty. Be careful!

DigiPRO offers raw digital waveforms which cut like hot knives through butter. This method also hosts the user waveforms and a set of sampled drum sounds.

The Sequencer

The Monomachine sequencer offers total control over the tracks. Treat a pattern as an incredibly complex sound, transpose it up and down in real time and enjoy the most powerful compositions in existence. Use slide, swing and transpose functions to fine tune a pattern. On top of this, there’s no less than 12 arpeggiators available.

Parameter locks

A parameter lock lets a note trig have specific parameter settings assigned to it. Basically every parameter found in the Monomachine is possible to parameter lock. In a melodic sequence every note can for example have unique synthesis, filter and effect settings. Parameter locks open up a new world of sequencing possibilities.

Track Effects

The Monomachine features a number of highly usable track effects. Each of the six tracks offers a tape style delay, a sample rate reducer, a 1-band EQ, a resonant multi mode filter and a distortion effect per track. As tracks can be routed to each other, constructing elaborate and exceptional sounding effect chains is very easy.
